The Vernon Lapidary & Mineral Club

agate The  Vernon Lapidary and Mineral  Club was formed  February 28th, 1959.   The club is a society that has around 50 members, who meet every second Wednesday of the month in the Arts Centre at 7:30p.m. (except July and August).  Meetings are according to "Roberts rule of order" and afterwards there are speakers, silent auctions, and coffee/tea/snacks are supplied by the club.

Anyone is welcome to attend the meetings and you do not need to join the first time you come.  Memberships run yearly and are due by Dec. 31st.  The cost per family is $25.00 and a single adult is $15.00.  Paying this also makes you a member of the B.C. society as well as the Canadian Federation.  Included in the membership price is public liability while on club outings.

Field Trips:  The club plans field trips once a month from the time it is possible to get into the places in the spring until the fall.

Work Shop:  We have several saws, grinders, polishing equipment and tumblers for your use.  All we ask is you take our 3 hour class on how to use the equipment to become certified.
